Honey Ginger Turmeric syrup
Does it sound gross? Yes.
Is it gross? Absolutely not.
Raw honey has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and is able to sooth a sore throat and suppress a cough. If you want to get fancy, use Manuka honey for an even higher dose of these active compounds found in regular raw honey. Ginger is loaded with antioxidants. Cinnamon is also loaded with antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory compounds- and just tastes really good when added to, well… anything. Turmeric, because of the curcumin and other curcuminoid compounds found in it, is a powerful anti-inflammatory and a strong antioxidant. Adding the black pepper helps the absorption of curcumin found in turmeric. Vanilla because- hello… it’s vanilla. This syrup is great for when you’re feeling a little down, have a stubborn cough or just want a boost.
