Honey & Onion Cough Syrup

How to naturally help your cough, cold, fever and soothe an irritated throat by boosting your immune system. This mixture helps to prevent inflammation and fight off mucus while being a natural expectorant.


What You’ll Need

  • 1 raw onion, diced

  • Jar of raw honey

  • Mason jar with lid


Instructions

  1. Place 1/4 cup onion in the jar.

  2. Drizzle 1/4 cup of honey over the diced onions.

  3. Repeat the onion & honey layers until you have used all of your onion.

  4. Make sure all your diced onion pieces are completely covered with honey. Put the lid on and tighten. Let the mixture sit for 24 hours at room temperature.

  5. After 24 hours, strain the honey separating the onion bits from the syrup into a new clean jar.

  6. Store your onion infused honey in the fridge. Keeps indefinitely.


How to Use + Storage

- At first sign of cough or sickness, take 3 times a day.

Adults- 1 tsp

Children- 1/2 tsp

Toddlers- 1/8 tsp

- Keep refrigerated.
