Homemade Winter Cough Syrup

Unlike OTC cough syrups that are filled with dyes, artificial sweeteners, and tons of preservatives and fillers...this is a clean version with immune boosting and antioxidant rich ingredients.

Takes 5 minutes to prep and works way better than anything in the store and it’s 100% natural.

What You’ll Need

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 cup honey

  • Chopped ginger root (peeled or unpeeled)

  • 2 whole lemons with rind

  • 2 tsp oregano

  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp turmeric

  • Dash of cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Add the water and honey to your jar

  2. Add lemons and your spices.

  3. Put on the lid and flip the jar upside down to let the honey infuse with all the ingredients.

Note: Keep the jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, shaking well before each use or freeze into ice cubes for hot tea

Dosage

Adults and children ages 5 and up: take 1 tbsp at a time and repeat every couple of hours when you are feeling sick or starting to feel a cough coming on.

Children ages 1-5: take 1 tsp (you can strain it to make it easier for kids to take).
